A Glimpse of the Financial Entrepreneurs of the future
This last quarter I taught an advanced seminar at Drexel University (Finance 698). I love running my seminar for the following reasons:
- I get to meet new and exciting young minds.
- I learn new things from my students.
- I learn about different cultures (a vast majority of my students are international).
Finance 698 is dedicated to building business plans for the financial services industry. In particular, the students were assigned to research and design business plans for the following concepts:
- Tax-efficient Alternatives delivered via a hedge fund structure (i.e., limited partnership).
- Active Momentum Fund delivered via a mutual fund or ETF structure.
- A fintech company that delivers advanced ETF analytics (screener, backtest, etc).
I’m sure a lot of these students will be successful business leaders in the future…
Congrats to the graduates!
